AUV explores the world's largest underground lake

SUNFISH has announced the exploration and mapping of 3D's Dragon's Breath Cave in Namibia, using a remote underwater watercraft. This cave is the largest underground lake in the world, and due to some dangers surrounding it, the divers could not dive into it, although the wall distance to the wall does not exceed 40 m, and the length of the tunnel does not exceed 205 m.The team produced a detailed 3D map of the surfaces under the water Using the sonar. Work on this project took 30 days to monitor data only, and after processing the data a report was presented to geologists and resource managers to understand the hydrology of the local environment, especially since this lake is located under a barren desert.
