Completion of the Schiebel aircraft processing for power tower inspections

Skyebel CAMCOPTER has announced the integration of its aircraft with FLIR Corona 350 cameras for checks of high-power lines and their supporting structures. This event marks the first time that this possibility has been demonstrated between the two companies. A special camera processor is built inside the plane, which has the ability to use the information it collects to prioritize maintenance on power lines, which are of particular importance in avoiding breakdowns that cause power lines to be interrupted. “This product is an integrated solution that provides fast, accurate and cost-effective ability to reduce costs associated with conducting energy line inspections and maintenance,” said Hans Georg, chairman of the Schiebel Group.
